Time- where does it go?

Oh my! It's so close to the end of the term! One week away! Where did the time go? It seems like just last week, I was getting lost walking out of our bedroom! Now I'm adventuring to places I've never been to before (WITH OUT getting lost!) and discovering new things all the time! At the same time, nothing exciting has happened that feels "blog-worthy." Now, it's like, "So what? I walked across the street without getting hit by a bus, BIG DEAL." It used to be the triumph of the day. Now it's just what I do! So what have we been up to? I know Nathan has pictures on his computer that might jog my memory about what's been going on, but I'm afraid that will have to be another day. In the mean time, here's what comes to mind!

If you ever find a place that offers PERSPECTIVES ON THE WORLD CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT, you should take it.. No joke! This class has been such a good experience for me! I'm learning new things about the gospel all the time, and I have a hard time keeping it to myself. Confession: when I first heard about the course, I was like "this class isn't useful for me, I don't know how to be a missionary, this is for Nate, not me." But now I realize, it's for EVERYONE who identifies him/herself as a follower of Christ. This course IS designed with a missionary outlook, but isn't that what we're supposed to be everyday of our lives? Witnesses to the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet? Trust me, you take this course, and you'll learn something new, and if you don't, I'll personally give you a refund!* For real, what do you have to lose? I think you'll be happy if you do it, but no pressure, or anything!

I decided that I spend way too much money. When I go out, it's usually for a purpose of spending money. It's really easy to do because any direction I go, there's some store selling food, a service of some kind, or merchandise. It's ridiculous! Everyday, faced with temptations! So, I went online, typed in the word 'frugal' and pushed the google button. Lo, and behold, there's lots of people who have figured out really creative ways to tighten their budget, and are happier with their changes than they were before! It helped me to recall a blog that a lovely lady once shared with me, where the blog instructs you how to make your own soap. I rediscovered that blog with new vigor, and I feel more eager than ever to get back to basics and really simplify my life even more! Here's the blog. She makes simple living sound like fun, doesn't she? I also found a website called "frugal living in the UK." And I thought, that sounds like the perfect website for me! So here's that one. It definitely gives me lots to think about and plan for in the weeks ahead. I hope you all get a kick out of those, and that maybe you'll want to look further into this 'frugal' thing. There's so many other websites out there, this is only the tip of the iceberg, folks! If anything, you see what I've been doing to distract myself for a few hours a day!

Yes, well, that's a start on the things I've been thinking about for the past week.

Cheers! (Which I learned today that when you say 'cheers' to somebody, you're actually thanking them! I'm totally using it the wrong way! Silly me! I'm going to use it anyways!)
