Well, hello again!
Did ya miss us? It has been a while for sure. I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! I am hoping that will all change from here on out, but no guarantees. Life in Massachusetts leaves little room for extra-curricular activities, like blogging, but now that my father gave me his old laptop for Christmas, I can type faster, upload pictures, and leave Nate's computer alone! Now, on to re-capping what's been going on...
Last time I posted, we had just moved to Massachusetts, and I had an adorable little girl keeping me occupied. Nate was working for RZIM, and we had a housemate, Alycia, who was Madelyn's second mother in almost all aspects :-) I thought for sure we were going to be sitting there for a while, but I should know better by now! We did manage to live in our little house for 11 months- a new record. But Nate made it clear that he was going back to seminary after a year with RZIM. So, we are back in seminary. But not how we originally planned. I think we planned on going back to DTS when we started talking about the move to Boston, but Nate looked at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, which is just north of Boston and felt he could work and study at the same time. After discussing everything with the bosses, Nate was given the go-ahead to apply back to seminary and keep his job. I don't know how Nate is able to do both at once, but he seems to be able to keep afloat in both.
During all this, I discovered that I was pregnant, and that a new Rittenhouse would join us roughly about the same time as classes started in the fall. On top of Nate transferring credit from DTS and us moving to GCTS campus, I was having regular OB-GYN visits with Madelyn in tow! I didn't think life could get any more hectic than that!
We welcomed Joseph in September, and couldn't have a more pleasant little man on our hands. Madelyn is actually starting to like the little guy. He's already four months old. I feel like he's been around as long as Madelyn's been around! And can you believe Madelyn is TWO-years-old?! She's running around, singing, dancing, screaming, laughing, jumping, talking like a little human! Two wonderful blessings!
Nate just wrapped up fall semester, is currently in one class for the J-term, and is planning to jump into more classes in the spring. We don't see much of him at times, but hopefully, the sooner he can finish his classes, the sooner we can graduate and move on to... on to... whatever it is we're supposed to do after seminary, I guess! Haha!
Now that everyone is more-or-less up to speed on our lives, the next post will be a visual one. I will try and upload a bunch of pictures and share them with you. Sorry for the suspense, but hopefully, from now on, posts will be a little more regular. We're all interested to see what 2015 will bring!
