Cold Morning!

This is the second time in a month I decided to pull out our little heater! It is 0 degrees CELSIUS over here, which means it's only 32 degrees Fahrenheit. But with two big windows facing outside, it's hard to keep this little room warm! The best thing to do is to layer up and keep under blankets! Heehee!
I realize that after such an exciting blog entry, everybody was expecting more and more! As you should! I should be doing more touristing things! Hopefully this week will be more successful in that endeavor. I am getting over a cold that kept me pretty close to my tea kettle, bed, and tissues. I did manage to do some exciting things this last week though! I am finding more places to do some thrift shopping, like the British Heart Foundation, and Oxfam. I found the most interesting store as well, called Objects of Use. I think the website really shows it off better than I could Describe it. I can think of a few people who would be really impressed by the uniqueness of it! It was such a temptation to just pick out one of everything for souvenirs! I need to take Nate there! He has had a very busy week, he's been trying to get as much done with his paper so that he is not frantic on Friday night. It's been difficult since the past two Saturdays, he has had to be at a convention of some sort for almost the entire day. I tried to be helpful this Saturday by making pancakes for some of his classmates who were helping out. I managed to feed a few of them before they stomped off for the church where it was held. I was so happy to have everyone experience the magic of:

Lyle's Golden Syrup!

Tasted just like cotton candy! So tasty! And it's in such a cute container! Looks just like a little paint can! And Saturday evening, Nate took me out to eat and I got to experience a kebab! So much food! I wish I took a picture of it! Nate had lamb, and the meat was hanging from a skewer, rotisserie style in front of a heater, and they just "shaved" off the meat as it was ordered! I had chicken, but mine was so spicy! My eyes were watering and my nose was running, but it was so good! And because I didn't make dinner, I splurged and bought us ice cream! Hurray!
Tonight is my first class for Perspectives. They called this the taste-tester class, to see if we like the course! I'm hoping that it'll be a good experience, keep me busy, and give Nate some more time to work on his classwork! That's all for now!
Cheers!
