We came back to the states, grateful to see the sun once again, and we quickly tried to tie all loose ends before we got too far into the summer. Nathan once again had his head drilled into so he could get a permanent tooth that was knocked out over a year and a half ago. I had to update my vehicle registration so I could drive my car legally. I also had a doctor's appointment to confirm that I was indeed 18 weeks pregnant. Yup, that's right, folks. We left you in the dark for a loooong time to announce in a not-so-subtle way that Nate and I are going to have a baby!!! We are having a baby girl in November! This was an unexpected joy on a journey that has already caused our heads to spin. At the time I discovered my pregnancy, Nathan was applying for grad schools, because he felt he could continue even after an intense year in the OCCA program. Nathan got accepted at Dallas Theological Seminary and after much praying and door-opening from the Lord, we felt that DTS was the next logical step for us. We came back to the states and we spent majority of our summer in West Virginia with Nathan's family, so he could work odd-end jobs for the rest of the summer and we could help his parents prepare their next-oldest son for a major milestone in his life: marriage! This August, Nate's brother got married and then we drove to Dallas, Texas for schooling! So, here we are! We only just arrived this week, so it's too soon to tell what we can expect, but we already feel at home, with our belongings surrounding us in our apartment, and we have already met many of the new students and their spouses from Orientation. So now, our entries will no longer be about gray, rainy days, but about heat, and armadillos. I hope you'll continue to enjoy!

You made it! I asked Abe if you had arrived and he said that the last he knew he was watching you all drive away from West Virginia. So thanks for the update, Erin! I was so happy and thankful to be able to see you all as much as I did this summer. I hope you all continue to settle well in Texas and that you two (I guess it would be three actually:) ) are having the time of your lives. Rebecca
